This Coventry Pin Club badge features not one, but two Coventry icons - the Whittle Arches and the black cab which both play a huge part in the city’s history!
First up is the Whittle Arch in Millennium Place, Coventry City Centre. The stainless steel Arch commemorates Sir Frank Whittle, who invented the jet engine in the Rolls-Royce factory in Coventry and a statue of Whittle can also be found nearby.
The badge also celebrates the Black Cab taxi - another huge part of Coventry’s history. Coventry has been the home of taxi production in the UK and black cabs have been produced in the city for 70 years. In 2018, an electric version of the taxi was launched which offers zero emission capable driving.
Each limited edition badge is numbered and comes with a backing card displaying its number.
The limited-edition pin badges launched in July 2018, with a brand-new badge released every month.
