Welcome to Cov Trumps - our new playing card game!

Etch & Pin are encouraging people to deal themselves a hand of Coventry history in our new playing card game.

Cov Trumps is the latest in a range of Coventry products from local business Etch & Pin which look to celebrate the city and has so far included The Coventry Sticker Album and a series of Coventry pin badges.

Etch & Pin owner, Aaron Ashmore said: “I grew up playing lots of different card and board games and couldn’t think of any which features Coventry so I decided it was my responsibility to put that right,”

The game features more than 30 iconic landmarks and attractions from across the city including Lady Godiva, Coventry Cathedral, Coventry Transport Museum and The Wave.

Aaron, 35, said: “We asked members of the public to help us to rank the landmarks across four categories,  'Fun', 'Iconic', 'Culture', and 'Historic' and it was really interesting to see how the scores all lined up.”

“There’s a lot to be proud of the city at the moment and sometimes Coventry people aren’t always the loudest to shout about our civic pride. Hopefully I’m doing just that with Cov Trumps.”

As with previous products, the business is partnering with a local charity with £1 from every pack sold online being donated to Grapevine; a charity who helps all kinds of people experiencing isolation, poverty and disadvantage in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The game launched on the 29th February and can be bought on etchandpin.co.uk and various locations in the city. A video can also be seen here: https://youtu.be/is8U22e45Rs
