Framing the city with our new Coventry artwork
A new art print has been released featuring some of the many popular landmarks and attractions of Coventry.
The 'Our Coventry' art print was released on Saturday 13th March and is the latest project from Etch & Pin who look to celebrate the city with previous products including a series of Coventry children’s books, The Coventry Sticker Album and a range of Coventry pin badges.
Etch & Pin owner, Aaron Ashmore, 36, said: “The ‘Our Coventry’ artwork is our love letter to the city.
“As with all of our products, we look to promote the best of Coventry and the print is brimming with both the big and small details that make our city so special.”
Each hand-numbered copy of the artwork features over 35 references to the 2021 City of Culture including Lady Godiva, Coventry Cathedral, the Coventry coat-of-arms and the music of the city such as The Specials, The Enemy and Pa Salieu. It even includes the famous yellow Coventry Telegraph news-stand.
The artwork was a collaboration between Etch & Pin and illustrator, Jack Merton who Aaron approached after seeing Jack’s artwork online.
Jack, 30, said: “We looked to cram the print full of the things that are important to Coventry and we hope people will still be spotting small details for weeks to come.”
Aaron said: “Coventry is a city firmly in the spotlight at the moment and hanging artwork on their walls is a great way for local people to show their pride in the city.”
The prints are available in A3 and A2 sized and can be purchased on etchandpin.co.uk/ourcoventryprint
