A win for Etch & Pin at the MBCC Awards
We were over the moon to be presented with the Role Model of the Year award at the Midlands Business and Community Charity (MBCC) Awards on Saturday 16th November at Villa Park, Birmingham.
Hosted by BBC television and radio host, Trish Adudu and Good Morning Britain weatherman, Alex Beresford, the MBCC awards are an opportunity to celebrate the unsung heroes and worthwhile deeds that are taking place in the region that many may not be aware of.
Etch & Pin is responsible for a series of Coventry pin badges, and more recently the Coventry Sticker Album, which looks to celebrate the city and were recently described as ‘the ultimate embodiment of Coventry's rich culture and deep history’.
In addition to celebrating the city’s culture, we also support local charities and small businesses donating a portion of sales to charity, raising over £2000 for 13 different charities in the city to date.
Aaron said: “In 2017, I made the decision to leave my management job in the NHS to focus on working with and supporting local businesses and charity organisations in the city.
“To be considered a role model is a huge compliment and I was very proud to be sat alongside many other inspirational people from across Coventry and the Midlands at the awards.”
With over 400 attendees from across the Midlands, awards were given out across 12 categories with strong Coventry representation with nominations including:
- Jo Brooks - nominated for Networker of the Year
- Trish Willetts - nominated for Most Influential Business Person of the Year
- Tyler Campbell - nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year
- James Sanders - nominated for Community Unsung Hero
- Harriet Harland - nominated for Volunteer of the Year
MBBC Awards founder, Zoe Bennett said: “The MBCC Awards are aimed at recognising individuals in both the community and business world who are unsung heroes.
“By showcasing people that are selfless, considerate to others and go that extra mile, we hope they will openly encourage and inspire others to do the same.”
